For sale: 'maison en pierre' in the south of Cantal, on the border with the Lot and Aveyron, 3 km outside the town of Maurs.The house is in a small, friendly hamlet, with 6 other houses scattered around. The neighbouring house is not inhabited.
This more than 500-year-old detached house has been completely renovated, while retaining its charm.
The wooden beams, the cantou (fire pit), the old doors, the half-timbering: it is all still visible.

The semi-open kitchen (4.30 x 2.15m) has windows on three sides.
The current bedroom (4.00 x 3.90m) also has a door to the terrace.

On the "rez de jardin" are the bathroom, the separate toilet and the garden room (2.85 x 2.85m). This garden room was first used as a guest room, then as an office and now as a jewellery workshop. A glass door leads to the veranda in the garden, below the terrace.
Above the entire living area is the attic Here there is currently a guest room, an office corner, a double bedroom corner and lots of storage space. The attic has partial headroom and is partly lower.
The entire living area, including the attic, has beautiful wooden floors. There is also double glazing throughout. The roof is insulated.

The enclosed garden surrounds the house. In the garden are several (fruit) trees, and there is a vegetable garden. The front garden borders meadows, where cows sometimes graze. On the transition are many flower bushes, including a sweet-smelling spray rose. From the covered wooden veranda (5.00 x 2.40m) one has a splendid view.
Then there is a spacious cave (5.90 x 4.55m) with a concrete floor, where the boiler (300 litres) hangs. Here is also the washing machine connection, and a sink with cold water.
Furthermore, a wine cave (3.85 x 3.58m) and a garden shed 2.35 x 1.75m), which contains an outside tap and the 'Linkymeter' for electricity.
